Well, once again I am with Mom, posting from my laptop. She seemed really happy to see me when I walked in, asked if I still liked my job, told me how proud she was of me, then fell back asleep. She is currently sleeping now so we'll see if she wakes up anymore tonight.

We at Overlake are all pulling for you and your family during this very difficult time. In reading all of these posts, we see the tremendous progress your mom is making, and the functions that continue to regularly return. The human body is a powerful instrument, and together with faith can accomplish astounding feats.
An important process of your own healing is the writing you are doing. Keep it up. Your thoughts, reflections, opinions, descriptions... are a way for you to make your own sense of this tragedy. It will also be a great record of your journey for you and your family to reflect on. Writing is a pathway to understanding like no other.
Please know your friends and family are a great force toward your mom's healing. And you, through this blog, are the conduit. Thank you.
